Luscious Lucy Pinder, 26, who came out of Page 3 retirement specially for the occasion, is an ardent Conservative supporter. She purred: “Hasn’t the boy done well!”Lucy has even hinted she might one day try to stand as a Tory candidate to “make politics sexy”. She said: “People are often surprised that I am so interested in it.”Not half as surprised as they’ll be if you turn up on their doorsteps looking like this, Lucy!
It is indeed lovely to see Lucy back on page 3 - even if it is an old pic - she has been missing for far too long. But what's this nonsense about "Page 3 retirement"? That is borderline libellous. Lucy has NOT "retired" from page 3. The problem is the Star cutting their budget for page 3 and not stumping up for her to appear. *That* is why not only Lucy but other firm favourites like Malene and Sophie have been so sadly lacking in recent months - not their choice, but the Star's.
It is great to see Lucy on page 3 again after so long... but it is appalling seeing the Star trying to blame her for their own failings. At least have the grace to admit it's your own fault for not commissioning any new shoots, Star, don't try and make out it's Lucy's fault. Come on Star, it's bad enough that we've got a hung parliament instead of a straight Tory victory, so the least you can do to cheer us up would be to stop cheaping out and bring Lucy back as a page 3 regular.
